The 2009 Art Show will be held at the traditional venue - The Camberwell Centre, next to the old Town Hall, Camberwell Road, Camberwell (Melway Page 59 2J)
The Opening dates are Saturday 24th April to Saturday 2nd May
Opening Times are 10am to 6pm daily except Saturday 2nd May closing at 5pm

About our great Show
Ranked among the largest traditional competitions,
displays and sales of paintings in the Southern
Hemisphere, and one of the largest art shows in the
world, this annual event is much more than "mere" fund
raising for Rotary community works.
Begun as a modest community event in 1964, the
founders had a multi faceted vision. They sought to
encourage both established and emerging artists who
painted in the traditional style. They believed this
community ambition could be fulfilled while providing a
valuable event for the
City of Camberwell, (now called
Boroondara). Such an event, carefully nurtured and
managed, could grow to
become a major source of
funding for community needs
serviced by the Rotary
Club of Camberwell.
Now in its fifth decade, history shows that the
show
has fulfilled its mission, and it continues to
grow
from strength to strength.
